Hello! My name is Ianna!

I’m a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), and I currently reside in Baton Rouge, LA. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University, where I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. My work is driven by a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and achieve personal growth. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where clients can explore their experiences, feelings, and properly heal. 

    I have over three years of clinical experience working with children, adults, and older adults in both individual and group settings. My experience includes supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, substance use, and personality disorders. I believe that therapy should be a space where people feel safe, seen, and supported as they work toward healing and growth.  

   My counseling style is rooted in a person-centered philosophy. I believe that every person already has the ability to grow and heal—it’s my job to help you tap into that inner strength. I employ a person-centered approach, which means I focus on creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. I also incorporate techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, set meaningful goals, and take realistic steps toward growth. While these two approaches guide much of my work, I draw from a variety of evidence-based theoretical frameworks to ensure each client’s treatment is tailored to their unique needs, personality, and life experiences. Ultimately, my goal as a counselor is to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and develop the tools you need to live a more balanced and fulfilling life.
